Go to Settings: On the left-hand side of the dashboard, click on Settings.
Navigate to WhatsApp: In the Settings menu, click on WhatsApp.
Select Templates: Under the WhatsApp section, click on Templates.
Click on Create Template: If you don’t have any templates in your account, click on the Create Template button.
Fill in Template Details:
Template Name: Enter a name for your template (this is for internal reference).
Category: Select Marketing or Utility. Use Marketing for general templates and Utility for notifications.
Language: Select the language for the template (e.g., English).
Header (Optional): You can add a header, but it's usually not required.
Add Message Content:
Message Body: Write the message that you want to send, and you can use placeholders to personalize the message.
To add custom fields, click Add Variable. For example, you can replace "Hi" with the contact's first name by selecting Contact First Name from the variable options.
Add Variables:
Click on the tag icon to select variables like Contact First Name, Assistant Name, or Business Name.
These variables will automatically populate with the relevant information when the template is used.
Opt-Out Information (Optional):
If this is the first message to a contact, you can use the Footer section to provide opt-out information. This is optional.
Preview the Template:
After filling out the message body and custom fields, check the preview to see how it will look when sent.
Submit for Approval: Once you've finished setting up your template, click Create.
Approval Process:
The template will be submitted for approval and will typically be approved quickly (within a minute or so).
Once approved, the status will change from Pending to Approved (shown in green).
Send the Template: Once the template is approved, you can use it in any conversation.
In the conversation, select Use Template and choose the template you’ve created.
Send the message to the contact.
Now you can easily create, customize, and use WhatsApp templates to initiate or continue conversations in SalesRook. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the SalesRook support team!
