# Initiate Conversations and Sync Them to Reapit

SalesRook Negotiator streamlines your workflow by allowing you to sync WhatsApp messages directly to Reapit CRM, ensuring that all your communications with leads and clients are organized and easily accessible. Whether you're managing existing chats or starting new conversations, this guide will walk you through how to connect WhatsApp conversations to Reapit.

There are **two main ways** to initiate conversations and link them to Reapit:

1. Syncing ongoing conversations that already exist in WhatsApp.
2. Starting new conversations with contacts directly from Reapit.

Follow the steps below for both methods to ensure your WhatsApp communications are always connected to the right Reapit profile.

**Method 1. Syncing Ongoing Conversations**

If you have an existing conversation in WhatsApp that you want to link to a Reapit profile, follow these steps:

1. **Select the Conversation**

 * Open WhatsApp and click on the conversation you want to sync.
 * SalesRook automatically searches your Reapit database and links it to the profile that matches:

* In the yellow dropdown box on the right, select where you want to link the conversation:
 * **Applicant**
 * **Tenancy**
 * **Contact**
 * **Landlord**

2. **Sync Messages**

* SalesRook automatically syncs messages into Reapit - This triggers each time you click on a WhatsApp conversation
* The sync will copy all **NEW** messages exchanged to the selected card in Reapit. SalesRook will **NOT** duplicate **ANY** conversations in Reapit
* You can, if required, manually sync by clicking the **Sync Now** button located in the bottom-right corner of the SalesRook panel.

5. **Conversations can be located in Reapit**

* Open Reapit and navigate to the record your chose **(contact/tenancy/applicant).**
* You should see the synced WhatsApp chat under **WhatsApp Chat Synced by SalesRook** in the activity feed
* Click **Show More** to view the specific messages, including the test message you sent.

**Method 2. Starting a New Conversation**

If the contact isn’t part of an existing conversation in WhatsApp, you can start a new one and link it to Reapit:

1. **Find the Contact in Reapit**
 * Locate the person you want to chat with in Reapit. In the video example, we use **Mr. S Proctor**.
2. **Copy Their Phone Number**
 * Copy the contact’s phone number from Reapit.
3. **Start a New Chat in WhatsApp**
 * Go back to WhatsApp and SalesRook, then click the **blue button** in the top-right corner.

* Paste the phone number into the field and click **Start Chat**.
* WhatsApp will start a conversation with that number
* SalesRook will search for the number in Reapit. If it finds a match, it will link the conversation to Reapit automatically - Please note this may take a few seconds
* From now on, every time you return to this chat in WhatsApp, any messages exchanged with this contact will automatically sync with their Reapit profile.

With these steps, you can easily manage WhatsApp conversations in Reapit, linking new or ongoing chats to profiles and ensuring all messages are stored in the CRM for future reference.
